bob dylan bu son albümü için, love and theft'le* beraber, sıradaki albümünün bir üçleme oluşturabileceğini deklare etti. time out of mind'ı ise tamamen apayrı bir yere koymaktaymış, üstad. doğru söze ne hacet!

filmde bulunan insana otomatik yemek yedirici makina projesi necip fazıl kısakürek tarafından bir kitabında şarlo'nun makina denen mereti paçavra etmesi olarak nitelenmiştir.
Charlie chaplin'in sessizliğin içinden bağırdığı, kapitalizme isyan ettiği makileşmeyi espriyle karışık anlatan, yüz kızartıcı bir şekilde ayar veren filmi. Bu filmin arkasından bir de Great Dictator gibi bir film gelince , Amerika'dan komünist damgası yiyerek kovulmuş, daha sonra yalvar yakar geri getirilmiş kaldığı yerden devam etmiştir. Çocukken trt sayesinde çok kişinin izlediği, ama sadece gülmek amacıyla tercih ettiği bir filmdi bu ,büyüdük de mesaj kaygılı olduk, o zaman da alkış tuttuk arkasından.
