Hayatı boyunca hiç evlenmemiş talihsiz herrick, şiirlerini hayali kadınlara yazmış, üstelik kendi hatalarından çıkarım yaparak kızlara naçizane öğüt vermiştir, üzüldüm;kelin ilacı olsa kendi başına sürer sözünü aklıma getirdi.
