And then a boat came sailing towards him
It was a joy he could not believe
The pilots boat, his son and the hermit,
Penance of life will fall onto him.

And the hermit shrieves the mariner of his sins.
The mariners bound to tell of his story
To tell this tale wherever he goes
To teach gods word by his own example
That we must love all things thaat God made.

aşmış bir şarkıdır. bruce dickinson'ın şiir okuduğu kısım harika. şarkı uzun olmasına rağmen hiç sıkmıyor aksine bitince keşke bitmese diye bile düşündürüyor. ve son olarak, steve harris'in ne kadar efsanevi bir adam olduğunu tekrar görüyoruz.
gelmiş geçmiş sevdiğim tek şiir olabilir, ilk defa bir anlam yükleyebildiğim şiirdir. iyi rüzgarlar estirdiğine inanılan albatros kuşunu öldüren yaşlı bir gemicinin lanetlenmesiyle alakalıdır. ölmek isteyen ama ölemeyen insanı anlatır. şu dizesi çok önemlidir "su, her yer su, içecek tek bir damla yok." kısacası yaşam bu adama göre bir cezadır. çaresizliği bu kadar güzel anlatan başka bir şiir bilmem. hatta başka bir şiir bilmem. ayrıca şarkısı da en sevdiğim şarkılardan birisidir.
