Maria will finally play her 1st clay event of 2007 at the Istanbul Cup in Istanbul, Turkey which begins on May 21st. Maria is flying to the Turkish capital today.
Maria will then head to Paris for the 2nd Grand Slam of the year at Roland Garros which begins 1 week later.
Here is what Maria has to say about coming back on tour: "It is so good to be finally getting ready for tournament play. Things with the injury are going well and am looking forward to making my debut appearance in Istanbul where East meets West, then heading to Paris again".
