Nefes Nefese, ender görülen bir hastalığa yakalanan kızları Chloe'yi kurtarmak için çabalayan Los Angeles Bölge Savcısı Paul Chaney ve karısı Diane'in soluksuz izlenen öyküsünü anlatıyor. Her iki ciğerinin birden değiştirilmesi gereken ve organ nakli için sıra bekleyen Chloe, gitgide kötülemektedir. Paul, kızını kurtarmak için elinden gelen her şeyi yapmaya hazırdır; Meksika'da Tijuana kentinde bir operasyon da buna dahildir. Ama bu yolda uluslararası organ mafyasıyla karşı karşıya gelir. Artık yalnızca kızını değil, kendini de kurtarmalıdır.
