1943 dogumlu amerikan jazz gitaristi ve sarkicisidir. 8 yasinda gece kulüplerinde sarkici olarak müzik kariyerine baslamistir. 1960 yilinda gitar calip sarki söyledigi bir rock grubu kurar. fakat 1960 larin sonuna dogru Charlie Christian ve Wes Montgomery gibi isimlerden etkilendigi icin grubu dagitip tamamiyle kendini jazz a vermistir. Miles davis in Miles In The Sky albümünde birlikte caldiktan sonra dünya capinda adini duyurma sansi yakalamistir. jazz-pop un (ya da pop-jazz da denebilir) gelismesinde en büyük cabalari sarfetmis kisilerdendir.
