Öyle ki bu şehrin insanları italya'ya girebilmek için önce isviçre'ye girerler ardından italya'ya giriş yaparlar. Para birimi resmi olarak Euro olmasına rağmen isviçre frangı daha yaygındır. Bu şehrin insanları isviçre'nin italya'dan daha pahalı bir ülke olduğunu öne sürerekten italyan devletinden ekstra destek alırlar. Farklı Campione şehirleriyle karıştırılmaması için resmi ismi Campione d'Italia'dır.
