  1. ismet özel'in "akla karşı tezler" adlı şiirinin dördüncü bölümünde geçen iki hayvan ismi.

    ...
    sözgelimi ben, kendim
    hiç hayıt ağacı görmemişim
görmeden ölürüm diye korkum da yok
    değil mi ki albatrosu Baudelaire'den
    Yves Bonnefoy'dan semenderi öğrendim
    bir gün bakarsınız
    şu güzelim bilgiç beynimi kırıp
    teneşir tahtası olarak kullanabilirim.

ismet özel'in söz ettiği "Baudelaire'den albatrosu, Yves Bonnefoy'dan semenderi öğrenme" durumu, bu iki şairin birer şiiriyle ilgilidir(Baudelaire Albatros, Yves Bonnefoy da semender ile ilgili bir şiir yazmıştır).

    şiirlerin ingilizce çevirileri:
    --------------------------------------------
    The Albatros

Often, to amuse themselves, the men of the crew
Catch those great birds of the seas, the albatrosses,
Lazy companions of the voyage, who follow
The ship that slips through bitter gulfs.

Hardly have they put them on the deck,
Than these kings of the skies, awkward and ashamed,
Piteously let their great white wings
    Draggle like oars beside them.

This winged traveller, how weak he becomes and slack!
He who of late was so beautiful, how comical and ugly!
Someone teases his beak with a branding iron,
Another mimics, limping, the crippled flyer!

The Poet is like the prince of the clouds,
    Haunting the tempest and laughing at the archer;
Exiled on earth amongst the shouting people,
His giant's wings hinder him from walking.

    C. Baudelaire
    -----------------------------------------------

    Place of the Salamander

    the salamander caught unawares freezes
    and imitates death
such is the first step of awareness in the stones
    the purest myth
journey through a great fire, which is Spirit
    the salamander was halfway up
the wall, in the light from our windows
its gaze was no more than a stone
but I saw its heart beating eternal
o my accomplice and my thought, allegory
    of all that is pure
that i love that clenches in its silence
    the solitary power of joy
that i love that concords with planets by the inert
    mass of its total substance
that i love that awaits the hour of its victory
holding its breath, clinging to solid earth
