kan shimozawa´nın yarattığı, en güzel hallerini shintaro katsu abimizin oynadığı, kör bir masaj, kumar, aikido, juijutsi ve kılıç ustası eski bir yakuza üyesi olan bir film karekteridir. onlarca başka filme tiyatroya televizyon dizilerine de konu olmuştur.
shintaro abimiz zamanla alkolik falan da olsa bu karakteri başarıyla canlandırmıştır. akira kurosawa filmlerindeki köyüler ve doğallık bu filmlerde bolca vardır. shintaro abimiz birazcık burnunun dikine gitmez birisi olsaymış, kurosawa filmlerinde o oynayacakmış yazılanlara göre.
