what i do appreciate above all with a musician is his strength. when i speak about strenght, i mean the spirit one. all those guitarists are interesting in their ways, but those who posess the real strength thing are really rare. for example, stevie vai makes me feel nothing. i don't want to seem unfair. he is a real phenomenon, but he doesn't give me the shiver.... there are so much guitarists in this school, and i've lost my way .
we will carry on on different roads. i have seen this film "crossroads", and at the end, the winner succeed by playing a classical piece. it seems very odd to me.... it was at the beginning a kind of "blues challenge", and the winner plays classical pieces ?! it was breaking all the message of the movie. it doesn't makes me feel much .... it's more a kind of gymnastic or show off than anything
